Arizona’s Holiday Pop-Up Bar
The Hotel Palomar’s Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails transforms into the winter wonderland that will get you singing your favorite Christmas carol, with a festive cocktail in hand. Once inside, you will be surrounded by nostalgic Christmas decor and countless ugly sweaters, while surrounded by thousands of sparkling lights. This pop-up bar and all of it’s joy will be here until December 28th.
Walk amongst the animals and festive lights
Over the past 25 years, the Phoenix Zoo has become a staple for valley holiday traditions with their annual Zoolights. Millions of sparkling lights, hundreds of dazzling displays, live reindeer, polar slides, and even festive food and drinks. New this year, is the Wildlife Lantern Safari, which features more than 60 glowing creatures. This event is open nightly from 5:30 to 10:30pm until January 19th.
The Valley’s Favorite Holiday Parade
The APS Electric Light Parade is another holiday favorite for all ages. For over 30 years, this parade has attracted more than 100,000 attendees annually, with incredible floats and endless holiday spirit. Grab a front row seat along the parade route with your thermos of hot cocoa and comfy blanket, to take in this one of a kind parade. This free event on December 7th starts at 7:00pm, beginning at North Valley Baptist Church.
Bring in the New Year Covered in Flannel
Want to bring in the new year covered in your cozy flannel gear? The Churchill is mixing things up with their inaugural Flannel Ball. Celebrate 2020 with live music, beer, an art show, games and a pinata drop at midnight. The $10 entry fee is well worth the unforgettable experience you will get at the hip and popular Churchill in downtown Phoenix.
We may be in the heart of the desert, but Phoenix has no shortage of holiday spirit! This is only a tiny fraction of events in our always growing state.
